The Adirondak Loj, built in 1927, has space for 38 guests in a combination of private rooms, family bunk rooms, and a co-ed loft. Delicious home-cooked meals, with homemade breads and soups, are served in our rustic dining room. The comfortable living room with its stone fireplace is perfect for recounting the day's adventures or just relaxing with a book from our Adirondack library. Located on Heart Lake just 8 miles outside of Lake Placid, activities include hiking, swimming and boating in the summer, snowshoeing and skiing in the winter, and exploring the town of Lake Placid. Also available at Heart Lake is Tyler Cabin, a waterfront cabin accommodating up to 6 people, the Campground Cabin, a cozy 4-person cabin, and the Wiezel Trails Cabin, a 16-person cabin.

All proceeds from our lodges and campgrounds are used to support ADK's mission of protecting and promoting the responsible recreational use of the New York State Forest Preserve, and other parks, wild lands, and waters vital to our members and chapters.
