The second annual Adirondack Winter Pride weekend is underway, February 27–March 1, 2026! It's three days of winter fun, community, and pride in beautiful Lake Placid, NY!
What is Adirondack Winter Pride?
Elevate your winter with a three-day PRIDE celebration in beautiful Lake Placid, and a chance to experience one of America’s original winter getaways. Join us in celebrating the second Adirondack Winter Pride Weekend, where members of the LGBTQI+ community, family members, and allies from all over can connect over days filled with winter fun, celebrations, delicious dining, and a region that does après ski like no other.
The winter weekend kicks off with a big Welcome Celebration in downtown Lake Placid. On Saturday, find yourself on the dramatic vertical that is skiing at Whiteface Mountain, and stick around for fun and dancing at the Après Ski Party! At any time during your visit, explore miles of tucked away cross-country ski trails, ice skate on the original Olympic Oval, and more; all made possible by Lake Placid’s legendary (and all newly renovated) Olympic venues.
Lake Placid knows relaxation is paramount during any trip, so during your downtime enjoy:
- Shopping on one of the best main streets anywhere
- Discovering interactive exhibits at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum
- Ice skating on historic ice in Olympic rinks

Adirondack Winter Pride 2026 Schedule
Friday, February 27
- 5–7:00pm: Welcome party at Cambria Lake Placid
- Registration packet pick-up (available until 9pm)
- Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar
- Music by DJ Shawn Reid and performances by Mhisty Knights, Tippy Gurly, and Neil Down
- 7–8:30pm: Skating Party on Olympic Speed Skating Oval
Saturday, February 28
- 9:30am: Whiteface ski meet-up (meet at the big map by Waffle Cabin)
- 11:00am: Group photo on top of Little Whiteface, followed by group ski down Excelsior, Easy Street, and Boreen
- 1:00pm-4:00pm: Après-ski party at Cloudspin Bar & Grill feat. live music by Ursa and the Major Key
- Includes a Friends of Dorothy ski giveaway!
- 5:00pm: Drag show at Twisted Raven (SOLD OUT)
- 6-9:00pm: Live Music at NewVida Preserve feat. Neil and the Native. Enjoy Adirondack Winter Pride food and drink specials served all evening!
Sunday, March 1
- 9:30am: Whiteface ski meet-up (meet at the big map by Waffle Cabin)
- 10am: Cross-country group ski at Mt Van Hoevenberg (meet at the bridge over the competition trail)
- 10am–Noon: Book & Coffee Mingle: Origin Coffee Co. coffee cart pop-up at The Bookstore Plus, with signed copies of "See You at the Summit" by Jordyn Taylor
All Weekend
- International Biathlon Union (IBU) Cup at Mt Van Hoevenberg
- Skiing at Whiteface Mountain
- Food & Drink Specials at NewVida Preserve
