The annual Flaming Leaves Festival celebrates all things fall with live music, decadent goodies, and stunning views at the Olympic Jumping Complex. All around you! Fall in Lake Placid is bursting with color. A few of our favorite spots: the soaring Olympic Jumping Complex, the relaxed miles of the Adirondack Rail Trail, walking around Mirror Lake, and the John Brown Farm.

When is peak foliage?

It can vary, but your best time to see the leaves at their peak is the last week of September. Keep an eye on our Foliage Report for the latest updates!

What is the weather like in fall?

We think it's perfect, and it truly hits that sweet spot of cooler temps, low humidity, and sunny days. This is the time to bring out your favorite sweaters, layer those comfy fall flannels, and bring a raincoat, just in case!
