Winter fun isn’t just for kids

Just Bead It! has everything you need to start your own homemade jewelry collection, or the ingredients for some amazing holiday gifts. The beading studio has tables and tables filled with all different kinds of beads and decorations for your crafts; all you need to do is get started! If you’re not in the mood to design your own jewelry, no biggie; they’ve got a wide collection of jewels and gifts waiting for you to take home.

Pure Placid

Take a moment to breathe, relax, and escape into the scents of the Adirondacks. Pure Placid mixes the fun of hands-on craftsmanship with the heavenly scent and atmosphere of candles and relaxation. Not only does the shop offer an array of aromas, candles, and lotions to take home, the shop comes to life with their limitless experiences that you can be a part of! Try their candlemaking class, where you’ll learn how to make artisan candles, Pure Placid style. Looking to move your body and perk your senses? There’s a Yoga and Candles class just for you, where you can de-stress and peacefully flow into your day, all the while enjoying the swirl of scents around you. And just in time for the holidays, experience cocktails and candles: holiday edition. The Pure Placid Candle Bar provides a warm and cozy atmosphere where friends can gather, sip, and create!

The Peaks Paintbar

I don’t think there’s anything quite as fun as a paint and sip class, and now Lake Placid has its own on Main Street! The Peaks Paintbar offers unique painting challenges paired with a stock of ciders, beer, and wine. This isn’t just any ordinary paint and sip class either, each painting a class explores together is inspired from real places around the Adirondacks! Their full schedule is always updated on the website, so make sure to reserve your seats before they’re gone. Come as part of a class, or completely rent out the space for your private party; the possibilities are endless.
