Welcome to the completely renovated James C. Sheffield Speed Skating Oval! The very ice where Eric Heiden won 5 Olympic gold medals for team USA during the 1980 Olympics. The oval is one of only a few outdoor olympic rinks still in operation and after recent renovations it offers the public a skating experience you won't find anywhere else. 

Summer Inline Skating

During the summer months, the Oval offers inline skating and skate rentals. Bring your friends or family and enjoy one of the most stunning views in the Adirondacks as you skate around the Olympic oval. Learn More.
