What is Adirondack Winter Pride?

Elevate your winter with a three-day PRIDE celebration in beautiful Lake Placid, and a chance to experience one of America’s original winter getaways. Join us in celebrating the third Adirondack Winter Pride Weekend, where members of the LGBTQI+ community, family members, and allies from all over can connect over days filled with winter fun, celebrations, delicious dining, and a region that does après-ski like no other. 

The winter weekend kicks off with a Welcome Celebration in downtown Lake Placid and ice skating on the historic Olympic Oval. On Saturday, find yourself on the dramatic vertical that is skiing at Whiteface Mountain, join in the fun at an afternoon après-ski party, and wrap up the day at a drag show!

At any time during your visit, explore miles of tucked away cross-country ski trails, snowshoe at John Brown Farm, shop along Main Street, or visit The Wild Center in nearby Tupper Lake.

Registration Coming Soon!

Registration is opening soon for Adirondack Winter Pride 2027! All Access Registration will be $75 and includes a Lake Placid Legacy Sites Passport. A Select Access Registration option is available for $40 without the Passport.

2027 Event Schedule

The 2027 Adirondack Winter Pride schedule is coming together, with more great events confirmed each week! Check back for more details in the coming weeks.

Friday, March 5

  • 5–9:00 p.m. – Opening Registration at Pickled Pig (under a heated tent)

  • 7–8:30 p.m. – Ice Skating on the Oval

Saturday, March 6

  • Group photo at the top of Little Whiteface, followed by a group ski session

  • Après-ski Party at Whiteface Lodge

  • Drag Show at Twisted Raven (tickets are included in registration—just check the box at checkout—or can be purchased separately for $10)

Sunday, March 7

  • $15 tickets to The Wild Center for all ADK Pride Registrants (show badge at entry for reduced rate)

All Weekend

  • Snowshoeing at John Brown Farm State Historic Site, organized by Adirondack Diversity Initiative

  • Cross-country Skiing at Mt Van Hoevenberg
