About
Join us for an evening of storytelling though film with Akwesasne Mohawk filmmaker Katsitsionni Fox.
This program will feature two short films, Kanenon:we (ga-nuh-ooh-weh) and Tentsitewahkwe (duh-jee-de-wuh-gwe), which explore Indigenous knowledge systems through themes of food ways, land, and cultural continuity.
Following the screenings, Katsitsionni (gah-jeet-juni) will participate in a conversation moderated by David Escobar, Report for America Corps Member for North Country Public Radio and Adirondack Explorer. The discussion will reflect on her creative process and the role of film in expressing and sustaining relationships to land, knowledge, and community.
