July 4th in Lake Placid, Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Independence!

This year's theme: "Rings of Independence" Celebrating 250 years and Lake Placid's Legacy

Fourth of July weekend in Lake Placid is chock full of events to entertain you and some in which you can participate! Everything from the parade, live music, The Lake Placid Horse Show, fireworks and more! 

  • 12:15/12:25 Flyover by The Vermont National Guard - four F-35 Lightning II aircraft will soar over Lake Placid! THIS IS APPROXIMATE

  • Live Music in Mid's Park from 1-4pm with All Night Boogie Band

  • Free Fourth of July Ski Jumping Exhibition:Celebrate Independence Day with an afternoon at the Olympic Jumping Complex! Stop by from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a free ski jumping exhibition featuring athletes training on the Normal Hill (HS120). While this isn’t a formal competition, it’s a unique opportunity to watch the sport up close and see ski jumpers in action.

  • Friday Night Ice Show: Red, White, and Blue for America 250thCelebrate America 250th with a red, white and blue themed Friday Night Ice Show at the Olympic Center on July 3. Featuring Team USA 2026 Olympians Christina Carreira and Anthony Ponomarenko, skaters are hitting the ice in dazzling performances for the crowd. Performance begins at 7:30pm, July 3 in the 1932 Rink. Tickets onine or at door.

  • July 4th Parade at 5 pm down the picturesque Main Street. A special appearance --our LOCAL OLYMPIANS will join this year.

  • Inline Skating on the Olympic Oval! Come dressed in your most patriotic gear for a fun evening before the fireworks show. 7-9pm

  • Now in its third decade, Lake Placid's Set the Night to Music Fireworks Spectacular will light up the skies over Mirror Lake at 9:30 pm .This popular event annually draws several thousand people, so get there early and grab a spot on the shore of Mirror Lake.
