This is your chance to ride off a 12-foot tall jump on your skis or snowboard and land in a 50'x50' pillow of air!!! It is so much fun, no matter how you land! I had to give it a try and now I'm hooked. At first it's a bit intimidating - it's a huge rush just going up the ramp of the jump, then before you know it you are in the air looking at a big yellow pillow and the adrenaline really kicks in, then you land - literally on a pillow of air – I cannot put this feeling into words. My first jump I lost my balance going off the jump and was going to land flat on my back, it scared me unbelievably, but when I landed all I could do was giggle and laugh – it didn't hurt, it was fun! I've hit the jumps in the terrain park and at the water ramp and I have to say nothing compares to this.

The 50'x50' airbag has several inflatable chambers designed for soft smooth landings. For all you park rats it's a great way to safely practice and learn new tricks before trying them in the park!

Schedule:
Whiteface Mountain's Airbag is open 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, Wednesday – Sunday and daily during holidays.

Rates:
$15/day and season passes are available for $150/restricted (non-holiday) and $200/unrestricted.
Holiday Periods:

  • Christmas Week 12/25/12 – 1/1/13
  • Martin Luther King, Jr. Weekend 1/19/13 – 1/21/13
  • Presidents' Week 2/15/13 – 2/23/13

Location @ the mtn:
The airbag is located at the top of the Bear Trail and Bear Lift, above the boarder/skier-cross course and the bottom of Draper's Drop/Parkway Exit.

What you need:

  • Your airbag pass – which is available for purchase at the Main Lodge.
  • Signed waiver, 17 & under need a parent or legal guardian signature.
  • Helmet – if you don't have one, you can rent them at the rental shop.

Airbag Staff:
Stop by and say Hi to Sam and Colin, they maintain a safe jumping environment and will help you get going at the jump!
