Not for the first time, not for the last, Lake Placid is ready to welcome the world. This famed mountain town is the proud host of the 2023 Winter World University Games, scheduled to take place January 12-22. This event is the largest gathering of college athletes on the planet and the level of competition is set to be outstanding! Many former participants have gone on to represent their nations at the Olympic Winter Games.

The 2023 Winter World Games will be held at various locations throughout the Lake Placid region and neighboring communities, making the event a true Adirondack winter celebration that combines athletics, global culture, and community.
