The Lake Placid 2023 FISU World University Games are not just about the sporting competition. Join fellow revelers and winter sports enthusiasts for the festival on Lake Placid's Main Street! Main Street might be closed to vehicular traffic, but it is open and welcoming pedestrian traffic as the street fills with lively festivities every day (and night) of The Games, January 12-22. There is a wide array of unique activities and entertainment and it's all completely free! Throughout the week there are also unique specials offered by your favorite restaurants and businesses in town.
FREE Activities in the Festival Village on Main Street in Lake Placid

- A drone show on January 22 at 9:15 p.m., taking off from the Mirror Lake beach to celebrate the completion of the games. You do not want to miss this amazing visual spectacle!

Live music lineup
The fun continues through the evening with live music performances daily starting at 7:30 p.m. on the outside FISU Festival Main Stage above Mid's Park. This is followed by "Late Night Sessions" indoors at Smoke Signals starting at 10:00 p.m.

Parking & Shuttles
Main Street is open to pedestrian traffic. FREE public parking is available with shuttles to and from the Festival.
Local Resident Parking Information ONLY: In addition to the public parking and parking pass lots, additional parking for local and regional community members is available in the High Peaks Resort upper parking lot for the duration of The Games. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday parking is also available for local residents at Dr. Balestrini's Office (Lake Placid Family Dental).

The safety of our community, our athletes, and our spectators is our first priority. While we want you to bring all of the essentials to make your visit enjoyable, here's what not to bring to keep this event safe and fun for everyone. And as always, if you see something, say something.
