High Peaks Cyclery (HPC) and High Peaks Mountain Guides (HPMG) were established by us in 1983—we are a husband-and-wife team, Karen and Brian Delaney. Since then, we have helped thousands of people experience the awe-inspiring beauty of Lake Placid and the Adirondack Forest Preserve.
Our team of guides are fully licensed and happy to cater to any adventure. Our mission is to provide exceptional service, education, and experiences for our clients while promoting stewardship of the incredible wilderness where we live, work, and play. And our professional sales staff can help you gear up and be warm, comfortable, safe and looking good!!
At HPMG we have everything you need for your Adirondack adventures! We lead solo and group adventure trips; supply comprehensive outfitting, gear rentals; and provide trip planning for half, full and multi-day trips in New York State’s Adirondack Park. Plan a guided trip in Nordic, AT or BC skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, ice climbing or fishing. And after your trip you can receive a discount to purchase the needed gear to do it on your own.
We also have 4 vacation rentals available through our Basecamp Lodging, next to our HPC shop and Guide Service, as well as one nearby on Lake Placid lake with its own private lakefront and dock . Each of our lodges sleep up to 10 or 12 people comfortably and have cozy living spaces, full kitchens and baths, laundry, and great views of the High Peaks mountains.
