Rock and River is a high end, specialty guide service that has been successfully introducing clients to the beauty of the Adirondack region for over 25 years. We guide individuals, families, and groups ranging in experience from first-timers to seasoned veterans. We specialize solely in mountain pursuits, namely; ice and rock climbing, hiking ( the 46ers and beyond), backcountry skiing, and snowshoeing.
We operate from a unique, year round outdoor center based in the mountain village of Keene, NY — less than 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Our facility consists of two well-appointed lodges, a campground, secluded lean tos, a climbing wall, and it also has hiking, skiing, and climbing right out our door!
