Tri-Lakes Pride Kickoff

Join a special multi-day celebration in the Adirondacks featuring film, history, discussion, and live entertainment honoring the artistry and legacy of drag and female illusion performance. Taking place in Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, these events bring together nationally recognized titleholders and performers for an unforgettable two days.

Monday, June 1 – Palace Theatre 100th Anniversary Celebration

Celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Palace Theatre with a screening of To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar. Following the film, stay for a lively panel discussion and audience Q&A featuring acclaimed pageant queens from around the country.

Tuesday, June 2 – Afternoon “Tea”

Join a presentation and panel discussion at the Saranac Lake Free Library titled Afternoon “Tea” – A Presentation and Discussion of the History of Female Illusion Performance. Topics will explore the evolution of drag and female illusion in the Adirondacks, the North Country, nationally, and internationally. A brief audience Q&A will follow.

Tuesday, June 2 – Evening Cabaret Drag Show

Later that evening, head to Pendragon Theatre for a classic cabaret-style drag show. Experience the glamour, comedy, and artistry discussed during the daytime sessions brought to life on stage through live performances.

Hosting and moderating the events is local favorite Victoria Bohmore.
