Attention Astronomy Enthusiasts! Join the Lake Placid Public Library on February 24, 2026, for a Stargazing Night at the Lake Placid Public Library!
This event is free and open to all and is a collaboration with the Adirondack Sky Center and Observatory. Their astronomer, Simon Thill, will lead the program. From 6:30-7:30 p.m., use telescopes to scan the night sky to look for constellations right from the library’s backyard. Document findings and learn about the Dark Skies initiative together. There will also be complimentary hot chocolate after stargazing to help you warm up!
