Join the Wild Center for a Clean Energy Celebration
For the second year, The Wild Center, Third Act Upstate NY, and the North Country Clean Energy Hub will be co-hosting a celebration to raise awareness about the many benefits of electric vehicles (EVs), solar power, and clean energy. Join us on September 27, 2025, for a family-friendly event where visitors can talk with local EV owners and experts showcasing their vehicles, visit with community organizations focused on clean energy, and attend programming about innovative solar solutions. Additionally, there will be many kid-friendly activities for families to engage in.
In alignment with National Drive Electric Month and Sun Day: a Grassroots Day of Action, we're excited to plan a day to spark inspiration about the possibilities of achieving a Net Zero future.
Learn how you can help create a cleaner, healthier North Country community and share in the EV and clean energy enthusiasm!

Sun Day Wool invites fiber artists across New York to contribute individual elements – knit, crochet, weave, felting, quilted or mixed – that hold their own meaning. On Sun Day, pieces will combine to form a collective work that visualizes and celebrates the sun’s power at the center of the global transition to clean, renewable energy.
Sun Day Wool is a collaboration between the Wool & Water project at the Adirondack Watershed Institute (Paul Smith’s College) and Third Act Upstate New York in celebration of Sun Day, a day of action celebrating solar and wind and the movement to leave fossil fuels behind.
