New York State Maple Weekend

Get ready to shake off the winter chill and step into the sugarbush! The New York State Maple Producers’ Association invites you to celebrate the arrival of spring at the annual Maple Weekend. This is agri-tourism at its finest: a chance to go behind the scenes and see how New York’s maple syrup is made, right from the source.

What to Expect

Maple Weekend is more than just a tour; it’s a sensory experience for the whole family. Across the state, local farmers are opening their doors to share the time-honored traditions of sugarmaking.

  • See the Process: Watch how clear sap is transformed into rich, amber syrup using both traditional methods and modern technology.

  • Smell the Magic: Smell the unmistakable aroma of maple sap boiling down in the evaporator.

  • Taste the Tradition: Sample pure maple syrup in its many delicious forms, from warm syrup to maple cream, sugar, and candy.
