Block Party – A Summer Send-Off!
Join the Lake Placid Center for the Arts on August 19 at 5:00 p.m. for an evening of free family fun, celebrating over 50 years exploring the arts in their current facility and looking forward to the next 50 years as renovation on the theatre building begins Fall 2025!
Join them in honoring five remarkable decades of creativity, joy, and community in this cherished venue.
Performances
- 5pm & 7pm: Cirque FLIP Fabrique presents Summer Break
- 6pm: Parsons Dance excerpts in a 15 min, one-of-a-kind outdoor performance
- Live local music in the lobby (curated by Charlie Reinertsen):
- 5:30-6pm: The Allens – Tight-knit folk-style trio
- 6:15-7pm: High on the Hog – Roots-driven stringband steeped in Appalachian and Adirondack folk traditions

Fun Activities
- Scotto the Balloon Wizard providing Balloon Artistry!
- Circus Arts—hoop dance and fire batons—with Sammy!
- Line Dancing with Emily in the Dance Studio at 6:15pm (30 minutes)
- Craft Table with Peggy and Molly
- Outdoor LEGO derby with PlayADK

Concessions will be available to purchase beginning at 4:30pm.
