WINTER OLYMPIC CELEBRATION

HISTORY, COMMUNITY, LEGACY, FUTURE

As proud host of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics, Lake Placid will celebrate the Milano Cortina 2026 Games with a month of community and visitor events that honor our past, cheer for Team USA, and inspire future athletes.

A signature visual celebration to mark the Olympic Games period. The Olympic Center will be illuminated nightly in themed colors:

  • Thursday, February 5 | Empire State Games Opening Night – Red & White

  • Friday, February 6 | Olympic Winter Games Opening Ceremony – Green, White & Red (Italian flag)

  • February 7–22 | Throughout the Games – Red, White & Blue for Team USA
