The Loppet: a Celebration Of Cross-Country Skiing For All Ages & Abilities

Loppet Like It's Hot! (But it won't be)

With very cold temperatures in the forecast, a few updates have been made to ensure a safe and enjoyable Lake Placid Loppet race for everyone. The newly dubbed Lake Placid 'Frosty' Loppet will still deliver great skiing and race-day energy... just with a few adjustments.

Distances

Due to extreme weather conditions, the course has been shortened to an 8 km loop – keeping the all participants closer to the stadium and with races shortened to 1, 2 or 3 Laps ( 8 , 16, or 24 km).

11:05 am | 16km Classic Technique Loppet
11:10 am | 24km Free Technique Loppet
11:15 am | 16km Free Technique Loppet
11:20 am | 4km or 8km Ski Challenge - Classic or Free 

Cut-Off Times: To provide a safe environment to all, cut-off times will be enforced.

Note: No new laps may be started after 1:15 pm, ensuring all finishers are done by 3:30 pm.
