36 years of Lake Placid Summit Classic Lacrosse
Monday, July 28 – Sunday, August 3

Dear community members,

To mitigate the impact of the lacrosse tournament on our community, we offer the following details and recommendations.

  • Games will be played at the North Elba Athletic Fields and the Horse Show Grounds fields, Monday–Sunday from approximately 8:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. each day.
  • Participants will enter both venues from Cascade Rd. / 73, with slowdowns likely as cars enter/exit the venues.
  • A temporary traffic light will be installed at the intersection of Cascade Rd. and Recycle Circle Ln. to support traffic flow for the duration of the week.
  • There will be no road closures associated with lacrosse, but as possible, seek less direct routes through town to avoid traffic on and around Main Street.
  • Recycling Center and Transfer Station access is open during the event and operating hours can be found on the TONE website. Please expect delays during the week of 7/28.

If you have any questions or need assistance before or during the lacrosse tournament, please email: placid@premierlacrosseleague.com

About the Lake Placid Summit Classic

The Lake Placid Summit Classic was established in 1990 by George Leveille and hosts lacrosse community members, ages 14 to 70+, girls/boys, men/women from around the country and beyond, who enthusiastically visit Lake Placid year after year to celebrate the game, friends and family, and the beautiful Adirondack Village they have grown to cherish over 35 years. Beginning in 2024, the Summit Classic is owned by the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL), and still operated by historical Directors. The PLL powered by Ticketmaster is a men’s professional lacrosse league in North America, co-founded by lacrosse superstar, philanthropist, investor Paul Rabil and his brother and entrepreneur and investor, Mike Rabil. The PLL is composed of eight teams rostered by the best players in the world, backed by top investors in sports and media, and distributed through an exclusive media rights agreement with ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPN+.
