ISI Figure Skating Championships
World Figure Sport along with the Sharper Edge and Silver Blades Skating Schools welcome all ISI skaters, their families, and spectators to Lake Placid for the 53rd year of competition.
Spectators are welcome to enjoy complimentary entry for 2.5 days of competition (all day Friday and Saturday, January 3 & 4 from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, January 5 from approximately 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.). Spectators will see all ages and levels of ISI skaters competing in the 1932 Olympic Arena.
ISI skaters will also qualify to skate in World Figure Sport’s Junior Fancy Skating International Event on Friday, January 3 at 4:15 p.m in the 1932 rink.
Additional Special Events include World Figure Sport’s Art of Skating Workshop on Friday, January 3 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the 1932 rink. All levels may register for $30 to learn Figures and Fancy Skating. This workshop inspires participation in future World Junior Figure and Fancy Skating Championships’ on black ice and other events including the International Open.
The skating fun continues with an exhibition by World Figure & Fancy Skating Artists on Friday, January 3 at 6:40 p.m. followed by a chocolate chip cookie party.
