40th Anniversary Screening of "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"
America’s favorite slacker returns to the Adirondacks with a 40th Anniversary screening of the seminal 80s comedy classic, courtesy of Adirondack Film and the Lake Placid Film Festival.
Written and directed by the legendary teenage movie icon, John Hughes (The Breakfast Club, Home Alone), Ferris Bueller’s Day Off follows a brash, cocky high school senior who, after tiring of skipping school to spend a boring day at home, is determined to enjoy an epic day. With the help of his best friend Cameron and girlfriend Sloan, the trio roars around Ferris’ favorite Chicago sites, all while avoiding the relentless Dean Rooney.
Selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry in 2014 by the Library of Congress, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is fun for the whole family and encourages all of us to live everyday like it’s a parade.
