About

No Drop | Casual Pace | Smiles Over Miles

These mountain bike rides are perfect for folks who are newer to the sport, getting back into it after an injury, or just plain slow. No judgement—if we're not there right now, we've certainly been there. See new trails, meet new people, and get outside in the great Adirondacks this season by joining us for a fun ride and a hang out session at the trailhead afterwards.

  • WHERE: East Branch Community Trails, Keene, NY

  • WHEN: Meet at 5:30pm, start the ride by 6:00pm, return to the trailhead around 7:30pm (+/- 30 min), hang out at the trailhead until you feel like leaving (we'll probably head home by 9:00pm).

  • WHO: Leaders include Bryan, Glenn, Kaley, Patrick, Rachel, and Bob. We've got a full crew! That's great, means we can split into many different groups so everyone gets to go on a ride specifically suited for their skills, fitness, and interest.

The Ride

No-drop, mellow pace on a fun-forward route built for beginners. EBCT is our newest trail network and has quickly proven to be a crowd favorite thanks to its well-designed, flowy trails that are fun for every skill level of mountain biker. The first time I rode at EBCT I was struck with how much fun the climbing trail was. Quite a feat to make climbing fun! Doesn't hurt that at the summit there are two viewpoints that give you a gorgeous view of Sentinel Mountain (aptly named). We estimate the ride will be about 1-1.5 hours.

The Hang

After the ride, we'll have a grill and chill sesh around a bonfire at the trailhead pavillion. We'll have some goodies to share, but please feel free to bring your own dish and/or elixir to enjoy alone or share with the group. There is a long picnic table under the pavillion with lots of seats, but people may still want to bring their own lawn chair to use on the field.

Technology & Amenities

E-bikes are allowed at EBCT. There is an accessible portajohn at the trailhead but no running water. Cell service at the trailhead is practically nonexistent, but the summit has decent reception. Please plan ahead -- if you're supposed to call your ride for a pick up, well...better be ready to ride back to the top to send out that bat signal.
