About the Workshop
The incredible aspect of Life is that 'she' is always and consistently Life Giving. Even where death is present the natural way, the consistent way is rebirth. This workshop asks, "How can our practices, way of living and the way in which we choose to respond to life and death reflect this natural way of being?"
Workshop attendees will:
Learn about options they have for the care they can receive or give to loved ones after death such as funeral service(s) and disposition options
Explore how our after-death care choices can support grief processing
Have the opportunity to share their own experiences and reflections
About the Speaker
Trained End-of-Life Doula, Ceremonialist, and coordinator at Spirit Sanctuary Natural Burial Ground, Colleen offers compassionate care through life’s most tender transitions. As a Life Transitions Doula, her work weaves together end-of-life education, after-death guidance, grief support, and sacred rites of passage. Raised near the southwestern edge of the Adirondack Park and rooted in the Tri-Lakes region since 2015, Colleen has long been drawn to beauty, connection, and ritual during life’s hardships. Her journey has taken her across South and Southeast Asia by bicycle, and deep into community and ceremony here at home — all shaping how Colleen holds space for death, grief, and transformation within all of life's transitions and turning points.
