Adirondack Mountain Club Free Naturalist Series: Winter Solstice Celebration
December 20, 5-7:00 p.m.
Prepare for the longest night of the year and usher in longer days with celebration, community, and hot chocolate! Explore the winter forest at night with an ADK guide. Enjoy the campfire and s'mores while sharing stories and poetry. Inside the Adirondack Loj, create seasonal crafts to chase the dark away. Longer days are just around the corner!
Warm drinks will be provided. Depending on trail conditions, snowshoes or microspikes may be needed for the hike. ADK will have pairs to borrow but you are welcome to bring your own. Participants should come prepared to spend half of the program outside in the dark. Be sure to bring a head lamp.
