Adirondack Mountain Club Free Naturalist Series: Nighttime Winter Hike

January 21, 6–8:00 p.m.

Discover what goes on at night in the winter with an ADK educator! On this guided naturalist hike, we will use snowshoes or micro spikes to walk around Heart Lake, stopping to make observations and cover a variety of natural history topics along the way.

This program will take place on the Heart Lake Loop and is recommended for participants ages 8 and up. The hike will consist of 1 mile of rolling trails with minimal elevation gain. Depending on trail conditions, snowshoes or microspikes may be needed to recreate safely and responsibly. ADK will have pairs available to borrow, or you are welcome to bring your own. Participants should come prepared to spend the whole program outside in the dark and in the elements. Be sure to bring a headlamp.
