About

Taylor Pond was created by a dam and the campground is on its remote shores. These are the only developments in this 8,000-acre wild area.

Camping

This small campground is a delight for nature lovers, birders, anglers, and boaters. There are 30 sites in this primitive campground, five of which can only be accessed by water. Of the five water access sites, three come with a lean-to. No swimming area is provided, but there is a small day-use area where lunch can be enjoyed at a table on the shore.

Campers can access outhouses and water spigots at various locations in the campground. Motorboats are allowed, and rowboat and canoe rentals are available on-site.

The aquatic invasive species Eurasian watermilfoil exists in Taylor Pond. Please clean, dry, and disinfect boats and equipment before traveling to another waterbody to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species. For more information, please visit the DEC website.

There is a campground use fee.
