Lifts are upgraded to provide faster travel uphill, a new lodge with modern amenities is open for a midday break, and snowmaking improvements help make this mountain experience unforgettable.

But your winter getaway doesn’t need to be entirely at Whiteface. Lake Placid has a lot to offer après. A Main Street packed with shops, 5-star dining, and access to 6-million acres of outdoor adventure awaits. Experience classic winter activities with a Lake Placid twist: ride a toboggan chute onto a frozen lake, go for a dog sled ride with the High Peaks in the background, or warm up with a hot chocolate next to a fire. In between a trip to Whiteface and relaxing downtown, don’t forget to check out other Olympic venues where you can ice skate, cross-country ski, or even bobsled.
