Experience the Legend: The 44th Annual Tupper Lake Tinman

Get ready to kick off your 2026 racing season in the heart of the Adirondacks! On Saturday, June 27, 2026, we invite you to be part of history at the 44th Annual Tupper Lake Tinman Triathlon.

Since 1983, athletes from across the globe have gathered in Tupper Lake to test their mettle against one of the most storied backdrops in the sport. As one of the longest-running triathlons in the United States, the Tinman isn’t just a race—it’s a tradition.

Why #RaceTheAdirondacks?

Named one of the best half-iron distance triathlons in North America, this course offers more than just a challenge; it offers an escape. From the crisp waters of the swim to the rolling, picturesque mountain roads of the bike and run, you’ll experience the raw beauty of the Adirondack Park every step of the way.

Events for Every Athlete

Whether you are a seasoned endurance pro or a newcomer to the sport, the Tupper Lake Tinman offers five distinct race categories to suit your goals:

  • Tinman (Half-Iron): The classic 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, and 13.1-mile run.

  • Aquabike: A 1.2-mile swim and 56-mile bike (perfect for those who prefer to skip the run!).

  • Olympic: A 0.93-mile swim, 26-mile bike, and 6.2-mile run.

  • Sprint: A fast-paced 0.5-mile swim, 12.6-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run.

  • Team Relay: Conquer the Tinman distance with a group of 2 or 3 teammates.

Event Highlights

  • The Legacy: Join a community of athletes in a race that has been a staple of the Northeast for over four decades.

  • The Scenery: Race through "picture-perfect" Adirondack landscapes that keep athletes coming back year after year.

  • The Atmosphere: Experience the legendary local support and small-town charm that makes Tupper Lake the ultimate triathlon destination.

Whether you’re a seasoned veteran looking to hit a personal best or a first-timer ready to make your mark, there is a place for you on the starting line.
