Lights Off, Game On — Cosmic Hockey Comes to Lake Placid

Hockey’s newest and first-ever entertainment-focused barnstorming property—Cosmic Hockey—has signed a deal with the Lake Placid Olympic Center to hold its two-week preseason training camp at the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena from October 26-November 6 in preparation for its upcoming 2027 season.

The 40 players chosen from tryouts will train in Lake Placid for two weeks to prepare and learn about the 2027 barnstorming season beginning in January. Tryouts for players will be held at two NHL training centers: Boston’s Warrior Ice Arena on August 1, and Buffalo’s LECOM Harborcenter on August 8, 2026.
