About
Veterans Day Community Sled Hockey Fundraiser
Wednesday, November 11 | 3:00 to 4:00 PM | Herb Brooks Arena, Olympic Center Lake Placid
Join us on Veterans Day for a community sled hockey fundraiser featuring Mountain Warrior Sled Hockey, Inc. Local community members will hop in sleds and play a fun game alongside the Mountain Warriors, a sled hockey team connected with Fort Drum. The team will split in half, and community members will fill out the rosters. Players will be provided with sleds, and participants need to be 13 years or older.
Mountain Warrior Sled Hockey, Inc., based in Canton, NY, provides adaptive sled hockey and sports programs for veterans, wounded warriors, and community members with disabilities, including adults and youth. The team was founded and coached by Mark McKenna. It receives no outside funding and relies entirely on donations. Come support an incredible adaptive sports program and enjoy a meaningful Veterans Day community event.
