Adirondack Mountain Club Free Naturalist Series: Beginner Winter Animal Tracking

January 31, 1-3:00 p.m.

Discover stories in the snow by learning to track the animals who are active in the winter! Before heading outside, we will gather in ADK's Education Yurt Village for a brief lesson which will cover topics such as gait, footprint identification, and other signs of animals like middens and scat. Following the lesson, we will head outside to explore and see what we can find!

Depending on trail conditions, snowshoes or microspikes may be needed to recreate safely and responsibly. ADK will have pairs available to borrow, or you are welcome to bring your own. Participants should come prepared to spend the majority of the program outside and in the elements.
