Guy Brewster Hughes Art Gallery at Lake Placid Library

  • 2471 Main Street, Lake Placid

For generations, the Adirondacks has served as the muse for countless painters, photographers, and other artists. Guy Brewster Hughes, a local artist who loved this library, long wanted a space where other Adirondack artists could display their work. The Guy Brewster Hughes Art Gallery, established following his death in 1992, fulfills that wish.

This public gallery offers a free space for Lake Placid artists and others to show their work. Regularly changing art shows highlight work by students, emerging artists, and experienced professionals.

About Guy Brewster Hughes
