Known for a number of routes named after Stephen King novels, this crag has the highest concentration of 5.8's in Keene Valley - perfect for those looking to head up some high quality moderate routes.
How to get there
Chapel Pond trailhead: South on Route 73 from Lake Placid, past Keene Valley, look for Chapel Pond canoe launching site.
By the numbers
About 300 feet past the sign in kiosk, as the trail angles right, turn left off trail and onto the herd path across a stream and uphill to the cliff - about 10-15 minutes.
Plenty of moderate, high quality face and crack climbs. With easy top rope access, unique movement, and incredible views of the pass from the top of the crag, this crag is perfect for a full, enjoyable, and mellow day on the rock.
