Ski - Skate - Party - PRIDE!
Be part of the first Adirondack Winter Pride weekend, March 7-9, 2025!
Elevate your winter with a three-day PRIDE celebration in beautiful Lake Placid, one of America’s original winter getaways. Adirondack Winter Pride is an opportunity for members of the LGBTQI+ community, family members, and allies from all over to connect over days filled with winter fun, celebrations, and delicious dining in a region that does après-ski like no other. From skiing and snowboarding at Whiteface Mountain to skating parties and themed meet-ups, it's a celebration of all things snow-season and pride!
Three days of Winter Pride fun
Adirondack Winter Pride offers three days packed with fun. Registration is now closed, but there are still many ways for you to participate in the weekend! Friday's Welcome Party, Saturday's Après-Ski Party, and Sunday's Ice Skating Party are free and open to everyone! Lake Placid Legacy Site Passports can be purchased separately, as can Whiteface lift tickets and tickets to the IBSF Bobsled & Skeleton World Championships, which runs all weekend!
Friday
- 6-8:00 p.m. – Welcome Party at the Conference Center at Lake Placid
- Registration bag pick-up
- Charcuterie boards
- One free drink ticket per registrant

Saturday
- 10:00 a.m. – Meet at the Waffle Cabin for a Mountain Tour (Intermediate+ skiers & riders)
- 11:00 a.m. – Meet at the summit of Little Whiteface for a group photo, then ski parade-style down the slopes to the Main Base Lodge!
- Noon-5:00 p.m. – Epic Après-Ski Party in the Main Base Lodge!
- DJ Rafadubz from noon-3:30 p.m.

- 4:00 p.m. – Glow with Pride Candle-Making Workshop at Pure Placid ($35)

Sunday
- 10:00 a.m. – Meet at the Whiteface Mountain Waffle Cabin for a Mountain Tour (Intermediate+ skiers & riders)
- 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Cozy Coffee Happy Hour at Origin Coffee, Lake Placid. Grab a cup of your favorite coffee beverage – or a tea or cocoa – and connect with new friends. (15% discount)
- 1-4:00 p.m. – Free skiing at Cascade Welcome Center and $10 rentals
- 4-5:30 p.m. – Skating Party in the 1980 Rink of the Olympic Center, with Pride-themed music and lighting. Don your flashiest figure skating attire and meet us at the rink!
- Free skate rentals
- Enter through Miracle Plaza
Daily — Go shopping on one of the best main streets anywhere (it's lakeside and so, so picturesque) or make your own brewery crawl by visiting Lake Placid's five local craft breweries and tasting rooms. Check out the Pride display at The Bookstore Plus or shop special merchandise at the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery, Big Slide Brewery, and RiverTrail Beerworks. Lean into the Olympic spirit and get hands on with interactive exhibits at the Lake Placid Olympic Museum, or head to Mt Van Hoevenberg and check out the fierce competition happening at the International Bobsled & Skeleton World Championships. Watch the best bobsled and skeleton athletes from around the world compete on the icy track. You may even spot some former and future Olympians while you're there!
Take a break from the slopes, or opt for a flatter ski experience, and explore miles of cross-country ski trails. However you spend your time in Lake Placid will be perfect, but we do have some tips for making your stay unforgettable!

Registration for Adirondack Winter Pride 2025 is now closed. Participants who signed up at the $49 level will receive:
- Legacy Sites Winter Passport — Includes admission to the International Bobsled & Skeleton World Championships
- Access to special Whiteface adult lift ticket pricing of $82 per day
- Friday Welcome Party (and one free drink ticket)
- Saturday après-ski party at Whiteface
- Saturday cocoa bar at Gallery 46

- One (1) free admission to The Wild Center, redeemable March 7-9

Registrants who signed up at the $20 level will receive all of the above except for the Legacy Sites Winter Passport and Whiteface lift ticket discount.

Information for registrants
Registration packets can be picked up at the Welcome Party on Friday, March 7 from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Conference Center at Lake Placid (enter through the Conference Center & Visitors Bureau doors at 2608 Main St, Lake Placid, NY 12946).
Those not able to attend the Welcome Party can pick up their packets at the Lake Placid Visitors Bureau after 2:00 p.m. on Friday and during regular business hours Saturday and Sunday of Pride weekend.
