The Lake Placid Classic, previously known as the Lake Placid/North Elba Half Marathon will be run on September 06, 2014. Both distances will start at the Olympic Skating Oval and will end at the North Elba Show Grounds.

Prices for registration before Sept 1, 2014:          

  • 1/2 Marathon - $45.00
  • 10K - $35.00

Online registration will close Sunday, AUGUST 31 at 11:59pm.

On Site Registration and Packet pickup – September 5, 2014 - 4:00 pm-9:00pm at our Host Hotel, The Golden Arrow Lakeside Resort.
Race Day Registration – 6:30 am – 8:15 am at the Olympic Oval.

  • 1/2 Marathon - $75.00
  • 10K - $50.00

Course Description: Start at the James C. "Bunny" Sheffield Speed Skating Oval, proceeds North, up Main Street through the center of Lake Placid, around Mirror Lake, then turns east on to Parkside Drive. The runners will then proceed to the traffic signal at the intersection of routes 86 and 73. From there, the course follows Route 73 passing the Olympic Ski Jumps to Riverside Drive. Riverside Drive is a flat, riverside run proceeding on an out & back route, returning to Route 73. Runners will then finish at the North Elba Horseshow grounds. (click for race map)

Parking Information:

This is a point-to-point race.  Therefore, we recommend that you park at the finish line before the race, and ride on the transportation provided from the horse show grounds (finish) to the Olympic Oval. This will save on parking congestion and also provide free parking to you.. Transportation will be provided before to the race only.
