Events in Lake Placid

Bring Your Family, Bring Your Friends

Fall is here and we’ve got lots of great events on tap for you here in the High Peaks Region. Celebrating fall is a big deal and Mother Nature’s spectacle is the big draw here in the mountains.

Fall Events

While there are festivals, markets, tours and workshops throughout the region all season, some of our bigger events include: Whiteface Mountain’s Oktoberfest; and Lake Placid’s Flaming Leaves Festival, Beer Fest, Essex County Cheese Tour and the 1st Annual Lake Placid Bluegrass Jam.

Racing The Colors

On September 27th Ragnar Relay Adirondacks rolls into town to finish two days of round the clock team running with about 2,000 racers and support crew.

The Arts

If you’re an artist or supporter of the arts you’ll want to take the Adirondack Artist at Work Studio Tour, when local artists open up their studios to visitors and are available to chat and sell their works as well. Lots of live performances are on tap as well at Lake Placid Center for the Arts, with some fairly big name acts performing.

Pick Your Events, Plan Your Trip

Come experience all we have to offer and make sure you don’t miss some of these entertaining events of the season. Don’t forget to check out the many hotels in Lake Placid offering seasonal packages and specials throughout the season.
