There is always something going on in the summer in Lake Placid, but did you know that some of the best offerings are during the week? Seriously, some of our coolest happenings are only offered during the week, and if you’re not here, then you are missing out! On top of the fact that you’ll find cheaper room rates, shorter waits at restaurants, and fewer crowds at your favorite attractions and shops, you don’t want to miss out on these spectacular weekday events and specials.

Sunday

Come into town on Sunday, but leave early so you can make it in time to stop at the Keene Farmers Market at Marcy Field to grab fresh meats, cheeses, bread, maple syrup, produce, and more to have on hand during your stay. Sundays from 9:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. mid-June through mid-October.

Monday

In the summer High Peaks Cyclery hosts mini triathlons starting and ending at the Lake Placid Public Beach to test your swimming, biking, and running skills. They’re purely for fun, but it’s your chance to have a taste of Ironman. You can do it as a group relay too if you want to pull in the whole team.

Tuesday

Head to Mid’s Park for the Songs at Mirror Lake music series. Bands play in the bandshell at Mid’s Park from 7-9 p.m. If you’re up for it you can paddle on Mirror Lake right up to the side of the Park and watch from the lake. The best part is it's FREE!

Wednesday

Start the day at another farmers market in Lake Placid. From 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Green Goddess parking lot, where a selection of local producers are available for farm fresh goods. These farmers markets happen mid-June through mid-October. Then, we’re going back to Mid’s Park, but this time for the Lake Placid Sinfonietta Wednesday Park Series at 7 p.m. You can grab a seat on the grass or paddle up! This event is also FREE!
