  • In a Car
    Take in fall foliage while driving in a car – and not just the kind with four wheels. At Whiteface Mountain's Oktoberfest, you can take a ride in one of the gondola cars to the top of Little Whiteface and see panoramic views of this leaf-peeping paradise. Or, jump in a train car aboard the Adirondack Scenic Railroad to zoom by the dazzling fall colors. Finally, take a drive up the Whiteface Veteran's Memorial Highway in your own car, one of the many Lake Placid Scenic Drives, as you twist and turn your way up to the windy summit.
  • Up in the Air
    You don't have to stay on the ground to experience leaf peeping in Lake Placid – you can do it from above, too! At Ausable Chasm, you can fly through the air as you traverse between ancient rock formations with the new Rappelling Adventure Tour. Or if you're searching for a truly new perspective of the beautiful fall landscape, take a seat aboard an Adirondack Scenic Flight and view the foliage from high above the tallest peak you can climb.
