Let's Move this Olympic and Paralympic Day

Join the Lake Placid Olympic & Paralympic Training Center at Mid’s Park on Main Street from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Open to both visitors and community members, this is an excellent opportunity to learn more about Olympic Day and engage in the “Let’s Move” campaign. Meet Olympic and Paralympic athletes and show your support for Team USA!

In the evening, the Olympic Center will be illuminated red, white and blue and the Lake Placid Olympic Museum will stay open until 9 p.m.

What is Olympic and Paralympic Day?

Olympic and Paralympic Day marks the founding of the modern Olympic Games by Pierre de Coubertin and the establishing of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on June 23, 1894. It celebrates being active and living the Olympic values of Excellence, Friendship, Respect, and the Paralympic values of Courage, Determination, Equality, and Inspiration.
