An excellent spring choice! Part of the Giant Mountain hike, it is a mostly open trail with lovely views, and wonderful spring flowers.
Bald Peak Trailhead: Route 9, 4.9 miles North of the Junction with Rt 73, and 1.3 miles South of the New Russian Post Office, 3.9 miles, Moderate Climb with bare rock approaching the summit.
