Cross-country skiing

From the Loj Road you will have to ski South Meadow Lane for 1 mile to access the Klondike Notch Trail. The road starts out heading easily uphill before descending very slightly to the gated road on the right. This gated road is the truck trail. (Please note: truck trail does not mean "trucks" are allowed; this is a motor-less Wilderness area.)

Once at the gate you will continue downhill slightly to the trail register on the right, please sign in for your safety. Once across the bridge over South Meadow Brook you will enjoy a very gentle ski that lasts well into the spring season. The road consists of many rolling hills and few bridges to cross, but along this route you will gain less than 300 feet in elevation. The ski out is much more refreshing and a ton of fun for everyone. There are a couple decent little hills, but a great ski for almost anyone none-the-less.
