LAKE PLACID, N.Y. --- The inaugural Lake Placid Brew Fest will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, from 3-7 p.m. in the Olympic Center’s 1932 Rink.

The event is open to everyone 21 years and older, and will feature 20 micro-brew companies from around the country including
Crossroads Brewing Company, Davidson Brothers, Kona Brewing Company,
Magic Hat, Shock Top, Switchback Brewing Company and more. 

Each of the breweries will be on hand to offer samples and to talk about brewing. There will also be live music and food provided by Centerplate.

Craft brewing in one of the fastest growing industries in the United States, providing an estimated more than 103-thousand jobs. In 2011, craft brewers sold an estimated 11,468,152 barrels of beer.

Advance $35 tickets for the Lake Placid Brew Fest are available on line by calling 518-523-3330. Tickets will also be available at the door for $40 and admission for designated drivers is just $10.  The Lake Placid Brew Fest is sponsored by Centerplate and Saratoga Eagle and co-hosted by the Great
Adirondack Brewing Company and Lake Placid Pub & Brewery.
