LAKE PLACID, ADIRONDACKS, USA -- Technologically savvy and environmentally sound, the highly-anticipated Conference Center at Lake Placid is ready to welcome groups this spring!

Conveniently located in the center of town and only a short walk from most hotels, the Olympic Center Complex with the added Conference Center will offer over 89,000 square feet of flexible meeting and exhibition space, with a total of 12 breakout rooms available for concurrent sessions, state of the art audio visual technology, a ballroom and a full service production kitchen. The Center's naturally lit space and views of its Adirondack surroundings will stimulate creativity, dynamic meetings, professional growth, and encourage competitive play.

The Conference Center at Lake Placid is a green building, constructed with its sheltered Adirondack setting, and the health and comfort of its guests in mind. Construction techniques adhere to the criteria set forth by the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design consortium) and incorporate optimized energy performance, renewable, recycled materials and natural daylight. The center anticipates GOLD LEED certification upon completion.

The Herb Brooks 1980 Arena and the Jack Shea 1932 Arena are connected to the Conference Center, and each offers 20,000 square feet of space for a variety of large scale trade shows, food and beverage functions, and events.

The experience of a Lake Placid meeting is like none other. A longtime Adirondack destination, Lake Placid has hosted world class events, intimate meetings and visitors seeking to invent their own perfect day for over 100 years. It's a unique setting for groups, where a day of successful meetings ends with an exciting team bobsled run, a round of golf on a century-old course, shopping on the quaint main street, a reception high atop an Olympic ski jump, a presentation at the Lake Placid Center for the Arts, a demonstration at the North Elba Horse Show grounds, or a team-building luncheon by a quiet rolling stream.

The Conference Center is complemented by numerous full service resorts that welcome and accommodate the needs of groups of all sizes, many offering meeting facilities appropriate for additional break-out sessions. Host lodging properties range from full service resorts with 250 rooms to smaller more value-minded facilities allowing attendees a wide range of properties from which to choose based on taste and budget.

The main level of the conference center will feature the Lake Placid Visitor Center, convenient resource for attendees and their spouses or guests to explore the region and enhance their visit in their free time.

The Conference Center's expert sales team will assist from the planning and booking phases through the execution of every event. They are prepared to assist attendees in inventing custom programs for meetings and activities, and are pleased to develop comprehensive itineraries and spousal programs, coordinate hotel bids and proposals, and offer centralized accounting and a convenient online reservations system.
