The world’s best short films show returns to the Lake Placid Center for the Arts.

Asbury Shorts USA, New York City’s longest running, non-competitive short film exhibition and touring show, will present their nationally recognized “43rd Asbury Short Film Concert” on Friday evening, April 19 at The Lake Placid Center for the Arts in Lake Placid, New York with the first film blasting on to the screen at 7:00pm. The event is sponsored and produced by Adirondack Film, as part of their “See Something That Means Something” film series. Doug LeClaire, founder & director of Asbury Shorts USA will serve as the show’s host and will speak after the screening.

The short film “concert” combines classic world-renowned shorts with current festival honorees providing a rare opportunity for audiences to see elite, globally honored films on a real cinema screen rather than a computer, smartphone or tablet. Academy Award nominated director Jason Reitman (“JUNO,” “Up in the Air,” “Thank You for Smoking” “Young Adult” “Ghostbusters: Afterlife”) calls Asbury Shorts: “The best short film show I’ve ever seen.” The fast-paced, highly entertaining showcase features the best in live action comedy, drama and outstanding animation.
