SCHROON LAKE, N.Y. - The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the launch of two new websites, each with a distinct objective.

Serving as a resource for existing and future Chamber members, the brand new schroonlakechamber.org offers a business directory, membership application and benefits listing, a chamber events and meeting calendar and relocation resources.

The redesigned adirondackhub.com promotes the region as a destination, showcasing the visitor experiences available in the communities that comprise the Schroon Lake Region; Schroon Lake, Newcomb, North Hudson and Minerva. The site offers comprehensive information for visitors including attractions, events, dining, shopping, lodging packages and specials as well as business listings and real estate.

The dual-website project was undertaken by the Chamber in partnership with the Regional Office of Sustainable Tourism, Essex County's destination marketing organization.

"We wanted to develop an updated, professional website that would accurately extoll the virtues of living and doing business in Schroon Lake and our surrounding communities," said Laura Donaldson, Schroon Lake Chamber president. "We hope it will serve as a valuable resource for our members, and attract new ones."

"It was important that we updated both sites concurrently, as the chamber plays an important role as a resource for businesses in a tourism-dependent region," said Tony Kostecki, website committee chair for the Schroon Lake Chamber. "Collectively, the two sites accurately represent and promote the critical mass of opportunities and experiences in our beautiful part of the Adirondacks."

The Schroon Lake Region has long been a vacation destination, and boasts tremendous cultural amenities, a variety of lodging and camping options and an ideal geographic location, perfect for outdoor recreational pursuits, with the lake itself nestled within two wilderness tracts, the Hoffman Notch Wilderness and the Pharaoh Lake wilderness areas.

The Schroon Lake Chamber of Commerce operates an office and information center on Main Street in Schroon Lake, and can be reached at 518.532.7675 or at their new website, schroonlakechamber.org.
