The Amazing Adirondack Race

  • 219 Station Street, Lake Placid
  • $100 per team

On Sunday, July 14, the Zonta Club of the Adirondacks will host its 2nd annual AMAZING ADIRONDACK RACE starting in Lake Placid, NY and continuing around the greater Lake Placid area. This day-long race is part adventure, part trivia game, and part scavenger hunt. Teams of 4 will race from location to location via clues, tasks, riddles and other challenges in order to discover the location of the finish line celebration picnic, and possibly win an array of prizes! Registration begins at 8:00 am. The race takes off at 9:00am sharp after a 8:30am pre-race meeting!

Who should register for this race?

You should! This rain or shine all-day adventure is for everyone! Families, friends, adventure seekers, people who love a fun day outside, people who love challenges and riddles! You don't need to be a runner, but you do need one car and one smart phone with texting and video recording capability for your team . Your team of four can be comprised of any age participants, but all participants must sign a participation waiver in advance of starting the race, and all participants under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian-signed waiver before the race starts, no exceptions! The waiver can be found on the eventbrite link and will be available on the day of the race as well.

What does it include?

Each participant gets:

- an awesome race shirt for the first 80 registered before our July 1 t-shirt deadline (that's 20 teams)!

- a picnic lunch party at our surprise finish line location.

- a chance to win prizes just for playing!

What else do I need to know?

Participation is limited! Sign up now! It is highly unlikely that there will be an opportunity for race day registration.

On July 7, final race details and rules will be sent to all teams via team's official email address (as provided at registration). Additional clues, tidbits and challenges will be texted intermittently after July 1 to all teams via each team's official cell phone number (as provided at registration) up until the day of the event! So one thing is for sure: make sure we have your correct email and phone number, and be sure you are checking them so you have all the information you'll need to WIN!

This is not a 5k. This is not an endurance event. It won't challenge your fear of heights. We won't ask you to (and please ask you not to) break any laws. Frankly, we'd prefer that you didn't even run. Safety first!
