2020 Schedule of Events

While the Stroll may look different this year, there won’t be a lack of Holiday Spirit in the air! The lights will be on, the Jingle Bell Run will be ran, and Santa will be in Lake Placid!

The elves are busy finalizing the activities and events that will take place this year. Please note that all activities and events are subject to change.

This year we will miss the costumes. We'll miss the sound of jingle bells and cheering spectators on Main Street Lake Placid but please don't miss our Virtual Adirondack Health Jingle Bell Run/Walk 2020! This year more than ever we need some holiday cheer!

Held in conjunction with the Lake Placid Holiday Village Stroll, the Virtual Adirondack Health Jingle Bell Run/Walk is a 5K race from December 11-13, 2020.

We may not be able to gather together and spread the holiday glitter with friends and family, but we’re not going to let that stop us from spreading the holiday craft cheer. This year, we are offering to-go craft kits for you and and your family to create at home or your home away from home in Lake Placid.

These holiday craft kits will include all of the supplies you will need, including the scissors and glue, and a set of instructions. But don’t let the instructions damped your creativity! We can’t wait to see what you and your family create this year!

The craft kits will be available at the hotel you are staying at or at the Visitors Bureau in Lake Placid during Stroll weekend. While we aren’t able to ship these, we will provide a list of supplies and the instructions once they’re available so you can participate at home this year if you’re not able to join us in Lake Placid.

While you’re strolling down Main Street, take the time to hunt for the hidden holiday symbols for your chance to win! You can fill out the form online here or you can download the form here (available soon). There will be a drop box in Mid’s Park for your completed forms or you can bring them to the Visitors Bureau in Lake Placid!

The scavenger hunt will take place Friday, December 11 - Sunday, December 13. Only completed forms will be accepted. There will be an adult category and a youth category.

Julie Jingles will miss you all so much this year. While we aren’t able to read a book together in person, we will be here for your bedtime stories. On Saturday, December 12 at 7:30, join local author Maxwell Eaton on Facebook live for two bedtime stories. Max will be reading The Tomten by Astrid Lindgren and My Wonderful Christmas Tree by Dahlov Ipcar. Put on your favorite Christmas pajamas, grab your favorite snack, and get comfy. If you would like to purchase these books in advance to read along with Max, you can purchase them at The Bookstore Plus!
