The Winter World University Games is the largest winter multi-sport collegiate athletic event in the world.

From January 12 to 22, collegiate athletes from more than 50 countries will gather in New York state’s majestic Adirondack Mountains at the Olympic Alpine Village in Lake Placid to celebrate, compete, and enjoy a one-of-a-kind winter festival experience. The 11-day international festival and competition combines high-level sport with educational and cultural events, all taking place in Lake Placid and nearby towns.

The 31st Winter World University Games will include competitions in 12 winter sports. Collegiate athletes between the ages of 17 and 25 are eligible to enter, with teams selected by their national university sports federations.
